Ben joined SARC in May 2018 as a Supplemental Instruction Graduate Assistant. In addition to their work in SI, they assist in running Academic Success Workshops and Study Union events.
Ben is from Rockford, Michigan and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to working for SI, they worked as a psychiatric technician in an adult inpatient unit and as a lab manager, conducting research in developmental psychology. Following their master’s program, they intend to work as a licensed therapist on college campuses and eventually pursue a doctorate in their field.
Outside of SI and their studies, Ben is passionate about music, playing multiple instruments and performing regularly as a DJ in Orlando’s electronic music scene. They enjoy spending time with friends, attending concerts, running, and discussing topics in philosophy of mind, ontology, epistemology, and gender studies.
