Alanna Raffaelli

SI Graduate Assistant, Learning Specialist

Alanna joined SARC in January 2014 as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for engineering subjects including Statics and Dynamics as well as Access subjects including Human Species and Psychology; she was also a Mentor to other SI Leaders. Upon graduation, Alanna transitioned to the SI Graduate Assistant position, and also facilitates Academic Success Workshops and conducts Learning Skills Consultations.

Alanna is from Orlando, Florida and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Currently, she is doing research in the Biomedical Rehabilitation and Interdisciplinary Neuroscience (BraIN) Lab. Her hope is to get industry experience in applied biomechanics, get a PhD in the major, and one day teach and research at the university level.

Alanna enjoys running in her free time; she has completed 4 half marathons and numerous 10Ks and 5Ks, and she is training for her first marathon in November 2018. Besides running, Alanna loves spending time with her fiancé, playing video games, reading, cooking, watching Netflix, and taking naps.
