Director's Welcome Message

Welcome to the Student Academic Resource Center (SARC) at the University of Central Florida. Our motto is "Success Starts at SARC". For UCF students, we have designed purposeful programs and services which will enhance your learning inside the classroom. We want you to become an Ultimate Knight in the eyes of your professors and be rewarded for your academic achievements. We want to work with freshmen on gaining the confidence needed to master college level coursework. We want to connect with sophomores to strengthen their study skills in preparation for upper division coursework. We want to partner with juniors to assist them in thriving in the college of their major. We also want to work with seniors in preparation for the necessary employability skills needed for their future.

For UCF Faculty, we want you to consider SARC as an extension of your classroom. We want to partner with you to assist in creating a classroom climate of excellence. Through our successful peer tutoring and supplemental instruction programs, we can assist students in developing proper learning and study skills. By partnering with us through our academic success workshops, we can come to your class and discuss with the students the importance of demonstrating proper note-taking skills, time management skills, and classroom etiquette.

The SARC staff which includes our professional staff, peer tutors, supplemental instruction leaders, peer mentors, graduate assistants, and student assistants are all dedicated to providing the UCF community the best in academic support services. We take great pride in our work and hope you will find our approach to assisting you motivational, encouraging, and supportive.
