Request an Academic Success Workshop Today!

Things to Know Before Requesting an Academic Success Workshop from SARC:

    Workshop
  • Be specific regarding the topic you request - study skills is not an option but topics such as time management, goal setting, motivation, power studying, memory and concentration, test taking, are options. Review our Academic Success Workshop schedule for this semester and our extensive Learning and Study Skill Handouts for ideas.
  • Topics can be specific to the students who will be attending the workshop. For example, time management – balancing academics and being in a Greek organization.
  • Feel free to survey the students who will be attending the workshop and determine what learning/study skill issues they are facing. We can investigate any type of learning/study skill. It does not have to be one of the typical or usual ones.
  • Past collaborations have been with Housing, Greek Life, UCF Student Clubs, SGA, local high schools, and we have presented in the classroom during class time.
  • A brief overview of all SARC services will always be presented.
  • SARC presenters must be allowed at least 50 minutes for the presentation.

Things You Can Expect from a SARC Presenter:

  • Informative – material presented will be tailored to the UCF college student of today.
  • Interactive - material will not be presented in a lecture format. Activities and involvement by the audience will occur.
  • Practical – students will receive tools and learn new techniques that they can start to use the next day. Handouts will be provided.
