Some reminders about your Pegasus requirements for Fall:
SARC is your advising office for the summer B 2009 term, Fall 2009 semester, and the Spring 2010 semester.

    1. You must see your academic advisor (Ken, Jessie or Abby) before the Withdrawal Deadline of October 16th (Call SARC at 407-823-5130 to set one up)

It is a mandatory requirement for each student in the Pegasus Success Program to complete a face-to-face academic advising appointment prior to the fall 2009 withdrawal dealing of October 16, 2009.

To schedule an appointment with a Pegasus advisor, please call SARC at 407-823-5130. The person who answers the phone has access to their calendars and can determine a day and time for your appointment.

Ken is available from 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday.
Abby is available from 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday.
Jessie is available from 9am-2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 12pm-5pm on Tuesday.

If you are finding it difficult to schedule an academic advising appointment, please contact Ken at kstaack@mail.ucf.edu, Abby at ariggenb@mail.ucf.edu, and Jessie at jedaniel@mail.ucf.edu

This appointment will be scheduled for 30 minutes. Follow-up academic advising appointments are encouraged and appreciated. Please arrive to SARC 5 minutes early to check-in with the student assistant in HPH room 115 (SARC lab).

During this important academic advising appointment, the following information will be reviewed:

    • Academic progress in each of your classes. Be prepared to discuss honestly about current grade standing in each of your courses.

    • Review academic policies for complete understanding of grade forgiveness and withdrawing from a course.

    • Review one’s degree audit for complete understanding of the process toward completion of the General Education Program, major/degree requirements, and CLAS.

    • Schedule plan for the spring 2010 semester. Review how to register for spring 2010 classes and have complete understanding regarding one’s “enrollment appointment”.

    • Discussion on current major/minor selection. If necessary, explanation on how to change one’s major.

    • Latest and greatest information regarding opportunities to become involved in campus events and student organizations.

    • …and of course discussion of any questions or concerns of yours.

    2. You must complete an outreach event prior to November 23rd.

Click here for a list of what you can attend to meet your outreach requirement.

The purpose of this requirement is to:

    • Involve you in the UCF community

    • Have you network with important individuals, offices, and services throughout the campus

    • Expose you to programs which can assist you in reaching your academic and personal goals

*If you are currently enrolled in SLS 1501 (Strategies for Success) for the fall 2009 semester, you are not required to complete an outreach program.

Failure to complete both of these mandatory academic advising requirements will result in your myUCF account being placed on hold. This academic advising hold will prohibit you from registering for the spring 2010 semester.
